Gazelle COVID-19 is a fluorescent lateral flow immunoassay and accompanying Reader intended for the qualitative detection of nucleocapsid antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in nasal swab specimens from individuals who are suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider within 5 days of symptom onset. The study will be conducted To obtain data to measure the positive percent agreement and negative percent agreement of the Gazelle COVID-19 Test compared to Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR).The study will assess Gazelle COVID-19 Test performance using dual mid-turbinate nasal swab samples. This study will primarily assess Gazelle COVID-19 Test performance on symptomatic subjects (within five days of onset of symptoms) at point of care (POC). A subset of asymptomatic subjects will be enrolled after the symptomatic subject enrollment is complete.

SOLIDARITY Finland Long-COVID trial assesses the effects of remdesivir + standard of care (SoC) vs. only SoC on long-COVID symptoms and quality of life (QoL) using questionnaires at one and two years post-discharge. Objectives i) Long-COVID symptoms - To investigate the effect of remdesivir (vs. SoC) on the occurrence of symptoms that have been associated with the long-COVID syndrome. The questionnaires will take place 1 and 2 years after the hospital admission. - The symptom questionnaire - that will be completed by patients at one and two years - measures basic patient information (age, height, weight, smoking status, major comorbidity, and working status) and a wide variety of potential long-COVID-symptoms and their bother (1. Fatigue; 2. Attention deficits; 3. Memory problems; 4. Sleeping difficulties; 5. Depressive mood; 6. Anxiety; 7. Dizziness; 8. Headache; 9. Tinnitus; 10. Paresthesias; 11. Changes in taste/smell perceptions; 12. Postexertional malaise; 13. Palpitations; 14. Chest discomfort; 15. Nausea; 16. Skin rash; 17. Joint aches; 18. Muscle pains; 19. Continuous cough; 20. Respiratory tract mucous discharges) in remdesivir and usual care arms ii) Quality of life - EQ-VAS: to compare patients' quality of life in remdesivir and usual care arms. - EQ-5D-5L questionnaire assesses the following domains: 1. Background: People who are recovering from COVID-19 may continue to have problems that affect their daily life. For instance, they might feel overly tired. Researchers want to learn if exercise can help people recover after COVID-19 infection. Objective: To study if participation in a rehabilitation exercise program can help people recovering from COVID-19. Eligibility: Adults ages 18-80 with a lab-confirmed SARS-CoV2 infection (the virus that causes COVID-19), and are still having some symptoms. Design: Participants will have a medical history and physical exam. They will give blood and urine samples. They will have tests to measure heart and lung function. Their blood vessels will be assessed. Participants will have a computed tomography scan of the body. They will have an ultrasound of the muscles in their arms, legs, and chest. Participants will take a 6-minute walk test. They will take other balance and movement tests. Participants will walk on a treadmill while hooked up to a monitor. Then they will be interviewed. It will be audio-recorded. Participants will complete surveys about their symptoms and daily activities. Participants will take a smell test. For this, they will identify different smells. They will also have memory, attention, and mental functioning tests. Participants will wear an activity monitor on their wrist 24 hours a day. They will exercise 3 times a week for 10 weeks by moving vigorously on a track or treadmill for 30 minutes. They will attend education classes once a week for 10 weeks. Participants will be contacted by phone or email every 3 months for 1 year after they complete the exercise part of the study. They will wear an activity monitor for up to 2 weeks.

For the last years, studies have described the " Post-intensive care Syndrome " (PICS), which consists in alteration of quality of life, cognition, autonomy and psychological disorders within the months after intensive-care. Patients with COVID-19 in intensive care units are at high risks to develop PICS. The primary objective is to analyse the incidence of the post-traumatic stress disorder at 12 months after intensive-care for a COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).

This study is to establish an accurate, robust and easily scalable COVID-19 viral nucleic acid analysis platform from, but not limited to, saliva to help enable and support contact tracing in the canton of Baselland/ Switzerland. To achieve this, crude ribonucleotide acid (RNA) extraction from saliva is validated in combination with next-generation sequencing (NGS) diagnostics and loop mediated amplification (LAMP) assays as well as point of care test (POCT) for rapid detection of viral antigens on patients' samples.

RACONA is a prospective trial that will test the hypothesis that nafamostat can lower lung function deterioration and need for intensive care admission in COVID-19 patients. Design: Adult hospitalized COVID-19 patients will be randomized in a prospective double-blind randomized placebo-controlled study to test the clinical efficacy of nafamostat mesylate (administered intravenously) on top of best standard of care. Primary outcome measures: the time-to-clinical improvement, defined as the time from randomization to an improvement of two points (from the status at randomization) on a seven category ordinal scale or live discharge from the hospital, whichever comes first.

This study will examine whether the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease) crisis was able to rise phobias in people and if those with preexisting phobias or fears were more likely to develop a phobia concerning COVID. It will look at different subtypes - physicians, medical staff, general public (not medically affiliated) and patients with psychiatric disorders.

Emergent experimental and anecdotal evidence has indicated that critically ill COVID-19 patients demonstrate two patient sub-types (called phenotypes). In one group the disease progresses slowly and patients have a low potential of developing mild respiratory failure, but in the other group, an exaggerated immune response (hyper-inflammation/cytokine storm) may be linked to the onset of precipitous respiratory failure, termed acute respiratory distress syndrome. This syndrome is responsible for a large portion of COVID-19 associated mortality. Thus, determining links between hyper-inflammation and acute respiratory distress syndrome in COVID-19 patients is of immediate importance. Blood samples will undergo a number of analyses to help us to understand as much as possible about COVID-19. We will also study any differences in physiologic and cytokine levels before and after patients are treated with immunomodulatory therapies as part of clinical care in COVID-19 patients.
