The occurrence of cardiovascular complications in SARS-CoV-2 infections appears to be more frequent than in other viral respiratory infections, probably due to a singular pathophysiology of this coronavirus. The lack of characterization of cardiovascular damages linked to Covid-19 could have medium and long-term consequences on the prognosis of patients. This problematic could lead to a second major public health problem linked to Covid-19 and it is therefore crucial to keep monitoring and screening patients at risk. In this context of emerging infectious diseases, of poorly characterized cardiovascular damages during infection and of absence of data on the long-term evolution of the infection, the investigators propose to carry out a prospective and observational cohort study focused on the evaluation and the systematic cardiovascular follow up of patients who survived an episode of Covid-19, regardless of their cardiovascular profiles.

While the practice of regular physical activity (PA) is prescribed and widely recognized as effective for the management of many chronic conditions and that regular participation in sports (SA) reduces the risk of injury and cardiac accidents- vascular disease in sports subjects, the reduction in regular physical activity levels in the wake of the period of confinement is likely to induce a medical risk in connection with the resumption of PSA.

This is a phase 1/2a study including 2 parts, phase 1 and phase 2a. The phase 1 part is an open-label, single-arm, dose-escalating study to evaluate the safety and explore the dose limiting toxicity and maximum tolerated dose of a human umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem cell product (BX-U001) in severe COVID-19 pneumonia patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Qualified subjects after the screening will be divided into low, medium, or high dose groups to receive a single intravenous infusion of BX-U001 at the dose of 0.5×10^6, 1.0×10^6, or 1.5×10^6 cells/kg of body weight, respectively. The Phase 2a part is a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical trial examining the safety and biological effects of BX-U001 at the appropriate dose selected from phase 1 for severe COVID-19 pneumonia patients with the same inclusion/exclusion criteria as the phase 1 part.

Studies have shown that admission to hospital during a coronavirus epidemic is associated with increased levels of anxiety, depression and panic disorder. During the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in North London the Royal Free Hospital admitted over 500 patients with Covid-19. As part of the standard of care, these patients are screened at 8 weeks post discharge for signs of anxiety and depression. The Feeling Good app is a NHS approved digital application which utilises applied relaxation, mindfulness based cognitive therapy and positive visualisation through audio tracks for the treatment of anxiety and depression. This is a naturalistic cohort study aimed to track the post illness psychological symptoms of those who have been admitted with Covid-19 to the Royal Free hospital up to 5-7 months after discharge. The study population is those who are exhibiting anxiety or depressive symptoms as measure by the PHQ-2 or TSQ questionnaires. All those with symptoms will be offered free access to a NHS approved app for anxiety and depression, and followed up for 3 months after recruitment to track changes to their symptoms.

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted anesthesia care all over the world. There remains very little data on current practice patterns and patient outcomes, particularly in anesthetized children. This is a prospective observational, multi-center study to investigate airway management related outcomes in children undergoing anesthesia during this pandemic. The investigators will compare the incidence of complications (particularly hypoxemia) in patients with COVID-19 to those who are COVID-19 negative during airway management. Among the distinctive features of Covid-19, numerous reports have stressed the importance of vascular damages associated with coagulopathy onset. Microparticles (MPs) shed by apoptotic/stimulated cells are reliable markers of vascular damage released upon pro-inflammatory conditions and behave as active participants in the early steps of clot formation. In addition, MPs carry ACE1 and ACE2, the cell-entry receptor for SARS-Cov2 in the vasculature and up-regulate ACE1 expression in neighbouring endothelial cells. This may contribute to unopposed angiotensin II accumulation which further exacerbate tissue injury and promote both inflammation and thrombosis. The aim of the study is to evaluate the impact of circulating MPs on ACE2 expression, the cell-entry receptor for SARS-Cov2 on endothelial cells.

This is a phase I/IIa trial to evaluate the safety, tolerability and immunological profile of INO-4800 administered by intradermal (ID) injection followed by electroporation (EP) using the CELLECTRA® 2000 device in healthy adults aged 19 to 64 years in Republic of Korea. INO- 4800 contains the plasmid pGX9501, which encodes for the full length of the Spike glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2. The primary objective of this trial is to evaluate the tolerability, safety, and immunogenicity of INO-4800 administered by ID injection followed by EP in healthy adults in the Part A and Part B. Enrollment into Part A, and Part B will proceed sequentially.

This is a mechanistic, observational, prospective, case and control study, to compare platelet aggregation, analyzed by Multiplate-ADP, in hospitalized patients diagnosed with COVID-19 versus healthy controls. Thus will be included 60 patients who present with respiratory symptoms within 72 hours of hospitalization and confirmation of the diagnosis of COVID-19 by laboratory method (RT -PCR and / or positive serology for SARS-CoV-2 - COVID group); this group will be compared to 60 healthy individuals (asymptomatic and with negative SARS-CoV-2 serology), matched by sex and age to the previous group.
