Around the world, researchers are working extremely hard to develop new treatments and interventions for COVID-19 with new clinical trials opening nearly every day. This directory provides you with information, including enrollment detail, about these trials. In some cases, researchers are able to offer expanded access (sometimes called compassionate use) to an investigational drug when a patient cannot participate in a clinical trial.
The information provided here is drawn from ClinicalTrials.gov. If you do not find a satisfactory expanded access program here, please search in our COVID Company Directory. Some companies consider expanded access requests for single patients, even if they do not show an active expanded access listing in this database. Please contact the company directly to explore the possibility of expanded access.
Emergency INDs
To learn how to apply for expanded access, please visit our Guides designed to walk healthcare providers, patients and/or caregivers through the process of applying for expanded access. Please note that given the situation with COVID-19 and the need to move as fast as possible, many physicians are requesting expanded access for emergency use. In these cases, FDA will authorize treatment by telephone and treatment can start immediately. For more details, consult FDA guidance. Emergency IND is the common route that patients are receiving convalescent plasma.
Search Tips
To search this directory, simply type a drug name, condition, company name, location, or other term of your choice into the search bar and click SEARCH. For broadest results, type the terms without quotation marks; to narrow your search to an exact match, put your terms in quotation marks (e.g., “acute respiratory distress syndrome” or “ARDS”). You may opt to further streamline your search by using the Status of the study and Intervention Type options. Simply click one or more of those boxes to refine your search.

The fight against the spread of the 2019-nCoV epidemic has achieved some success in China, but the epidemic is far from over. A key factor making the epidemic under control in China is the government's call for social distance, which has led to few people going out for donation. As a result, the number of blood donors on the streets has been continuing to decline. The first urgent recruitment of blood donors had been implemented during the period from 30 April to 10 May via emergency recruitment SMS . This second repeat trial has been designed to further confirm the results from the the first recruitment by comparing which information extraction frameworks would be more sensitive to blood donors in emergency situations.

A questionnaire is developed based on the literature and clinical experience. Initial testing will be performed on 20 patients. The first and second sectors include patient demographics and patient clinical diagnosis/scheduled surgery, respectively. The following sectors examine the process of delivering the cancellation/re-scheduling; care after cancellation and whether the procedure conducted elsewhere or not; and the impact of cancellation on patient health, career, and financial aspects.

Citizens of many countries are in the high peak period of the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. People are currently struggling with the total cessation of certain aspects of normal life. The situation associated with the pandemic can lead to the development of many problems connected both with mental and physical health. The investigators, as psychologists, would like to better understand this difficult situation and identify mechanisms which can lead to health problems. Therefore, group of researchers and practitioners created this study to investigate how people in general cope with this critical situation. The researchers would like to estimate the following variables which participants will evaluate before and during the pandemic period: levels of physical activity, attitudes towards one's body, attitudes towards eating, and psychological well-being. The investigators would like to involve experts and scientists from all around the world. Through this research and by investigating how people cope with this critical situation the solutions for psychological care and interventions for global crisis situations like the COVID-19 pandemic might be identified.

During the Coronavirus pandemic children's hearing services are closed or reduced and grommet operations are part of the lowest priority group. In the absence of management options, this research study aims to see if bone conduction headphones either paired (via bluetooth) to a microphone or an app will help children with a hearing loss during this period of waiting. The child's quality of life is measured with validated questionnaires The study is over 3 months, and delivered remotely, with the product being sent to the family home and support offered via telephone/ video consulattion.

This infection has a special implication on the patient who complains from cardiac disease or acute cardiovascular condition and may result in cardiovascular complications such as myocardial infarction. For this end, we target to study this group of patient, who has a cardiac disease with COVID-19 in Qatar, in addition, the acute myocardial infarction with COVID-19 from the Gulf countries and collect all the related data to come with a comprehensive view about those patients.

Patients with COVID-19 and hypoxaemic respiratory failure and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) are treated with supplementary oxygen as a standard. However, quality of quantity evidence regarding this practise is low. The aim of the HOT-COVID trial is to evaluate the benefits and harms of two targets of partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood (PaO2) in guiding the oxygen therapy in acutely ill adult COVID-19 patients with hypoxaemic respiratory failure at ICU admission.
