This study attempts on developing an intervention of MI by regenerating damaged cardiomyocytes due to insufficiency of oxygen in cardiac muscles, triggered by an occlusion of coronary artery (MI). Heart patch developed from amnion bilayer seeded with amnion epithelial stem cells and patient's autologous cardiomyocytes is used as a therapy. Patients who undergo bypass (CABG) surgery are given heart patch, and then patients condition are observed by ECG, Echo, blood test, and radiology (technetium-99m)

To date, no treatment has been shown to be effective in patients with early-onset disease and mild symptoms. Experimental studies have demonstrated a potential anti-inflammatory role of Fluvoxamine, Fluoxetine, Budesonide and Spirulin Platensis in SARS-CoV-2 infections and observational studies have suggested a reduced complications in patients with COVID-19 disease.

This hypothesis is supported by numerous preclinical and theoretical arguments, as well as by some Chinese clinical studies (the Chinese guidelines for the management of Covid-19 recommend the inhalation of hydrogen), a recommendation whose interest has just been confirmed by a publication describing the very positive results of a clinical study in China. COVID-19 is associated with increased mortality, and has been linked to a 'cytokine inflammatory storm'. Populations at higher risk of COVID complications and mortality include the elderly, diabetic patients and immunocompromised patients (such as HIV), and the investigators have studied these 3 populations over the past 20 years and have found that they all have deficiency of the endogenous antioxidant protein glutathione (GSH), elevated oxidative stress, inflammation, impaired mitochondrial function, immune dysfunction, and endothelial dysfunction. It is known and established that GSH adequacy is necessary for neutralizing harmful oxidative stress, and that elevated oxidative stress appears to promote mitochondrial dysfunction. The combination of oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction have also been linked to inflammation, immune dysfunction, and endothelial dysfunction. In prior studies in aging, the investigators have also identified that supplementing glutathione precursor amino-acids glycine and cysteine (provided as N-acetylcysteine) improves GSH deficiency and mitochondrial function, and lowers oxidative stress, inflammation, and endothelial dysfunction. The investigators have coined the term GlyNAC to refer to the combination of glycine and N-acetylcysteine. This study will evaluate the prevalence and extent of these defects in patients with COVID-19 admitted to the hospital, and the response to supplementing GlyNAC or placebo for 2-weeks. Because patients with COVID-19 are also being reported to have fatigue and cognitive impairment, the investigators will also measure fatigue and cognition at admission, 1-week and 2-weeks after beginning supplementation. The supplementation is stopped after completing 2-weeks, and these outcomes will be measured again after 4-weeks and 8-weeks after stopping supplementation.

The aim of this study is to explore the acceptability and feasibility of a novel medical device system for autonomously monitoring of breath and heart sounds in Covid-19 (detecting and monitoring the progression of Covid-19 pneumonitis, by evaluating sounds captured through a wearable device (Senti)). As a first-in-man study, the investigators will investigate the safety of the Senti device, the usability and acceptability of the device; and ensure technical and practical feasibility of the device in a real-world clinical setting. Healthcare resources have been stretched substantially by Covid-19. Devices which enable patients to be monitored at home and direct these precious resources to those who require them are needed more than ever. 10 patients will be recruited (the study participants) in two tranches (6 and 4) who are being discharged from A&E into the community, with Covid-19. These patients will wear the Senti device. The first tranche will use the device over a single session lasting 20 minutes only. The second tranche (which will include patients from tranche one, and which will only proceed if no adverse events are detected in tranche one), participants will wear the device at their discretion (particularly encouraged to wear overnight) over the course of 5 days. The investigators will survey the study participants to answer three key questions: What is the feasibility of the Senti data-capture device? Is this device usable in clinical practice? What are the requirements to train patients to use the device? The investigators will also consider: Does the device function technically and practically, in real-world clinical scenarios? What are the key expected and unexpected safety issues related to using the device (with a particular emphasis on whether the device is likely to cause pressure sores)? These questions will establish the feasibility of using the Senti data capture device as part of a novel medical device system for the autonomous evaluation and monitoring of bioacoustic signals for Covid-19.
