Around the world, researchers are working extremely hard to develop new treatments and interventions for COVID-19 with new clinical trials opening nearly every day. This directory provides you with information, including enrollment detail, about these trials. In some cases, researchers are able to offer expanded access (sometimes called compassionate use) to an investigational drug when a patient cannot participate in a clinical trial.
The information provided here is drawn from ClinicalTrials.gov. If you do not find a satisfactory expanded access program here, please search in our COVID Company Directory. Some companies consider expanded access requests for single patients, even if they do not show an active expanded access listing in this database. Please contact the company directly to explore the possibility of expanded access.
Emergency INDs
To learn how to apply for expanded access, please visit our Guides designed to walk healthcare providers, patients and/or caregivers through the process of applying for expanded access. Please note that given the situation with COVID-19 and the need to move as fast as possible, many physicians are requesting expanded access for emergency use. In these cases, FDA will authorize treatment by telephone and treatment can start immediately. For more details, consult FDA guidance. Emergency IND is the common route that patients are receiving convalescent plasma.
Search Tips
To search this directory, simply type a drug name, condition, company name, location, or other term of your choice into the search bar and click SEARCH. For broadest results, type the terms without quotation marks; to narrow your search to an exact match, put your terms in quotation marks (e.g., “acute respiratory distress syndrome” or “ARDS”). You may opt to further streamline your search by using the Status of the study and Intervention Type options. Simply click one or more of those boxes to refine your search.

This study will evaluate the efficacy of oral Foipan® (camostat mesilate) compared with the current standard of care in reducing the duration of viral shedding of SARS-CoV-2 virus in patients with mild-moderate COVID-19 disease. Patients will attend 4 study visits over a period of up to 28 days.

Over 3 million teenagers in the USA have depression, and rates of depression and suicide are sharply increasing. Teenage depression has far-reaching consequences including impairments in academic and work performance and social and family relationships, substance abuse, and worsening of other health conditions, which can persist into adulthood. Access to mental health care for teenagers is limited due to a shortage of mental health providers and many teenagers and parents are reluctant to take antidepressants. COVID-19 and mandated physical and social distancing is expected to increase rates of teenage depression, and further limit access to traditional methods of care (e.g. psychotherapy). This highlights an urgent need to develop accessible, digital treatments for teenage depression to address the serious mental health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. This fully virtual study (https://www.limbix.com/spark) will compare the relative safety, effectiveness, and engagement of a mobile application based on cognitive behavioral therapy and behavioral activation (Limbix Spark), focusing on the idea that engaging in behaviors that are rewarding or provide a sense of mastery can be effective in reducing symptoms of depression. Limbix Spark will be compared to a mobile app containing educational material about depression (Psychoeducation).

COVID-19 is a worldwide pandemic. Around 5% of infected patients are admitted in ICU, mainly for respiratory failure. Outcome of these patients is linked to other organ failures. Optimal therapies are not defined so far. The sponsor want to assess the role of MR-ProADM as prognostic biomarker, and the impact of treatments (including supportive treatments) on MOF occurrence and outcome.

To evaluate the safety andefficacy of antroquinonol treatment of mild to moderate pneumonia due to COVID-19, as measured by the proportion of patients alive and free of respiratory failure.

This is a phase I, randomized, placebo-controlled, observer-blind study, for evaluation of safety and immunogenicity of SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccine (BNT162b1) in Chinese healthy population. After randomization, the trial for each subject will last for approximately 12 months. Screening period is 2 weeks prior to randomization (Day -14 to Day 0), and each dose of either SARS-CoV-2 vaccine (BNT162b1) or placebo will be given intramuscularly (IM).

As of May 26, 2020, 5,508,904 confirmed cases (145,279 in France) of COVID-19 and 346,508 deaths (28,457 in France) have been reported since December 8, 2019 worldwide. The rapid increase in the number of cases in our territory caused France to pass to level 3 of the epidemic on March 14, 2020. The natural history of this disease is still poorly understood, particularly in patients infected with HIV, patients considered to be at higher risk for severe forms. Knowing the seroprevalence in the population of people living with HIV will make it possible to better understand the Covid infection in immunocompromised patients, know the percentage of immunization and the persistence or not of the antibodies over time, specify the protective nature or not of these antibodies detected.

Skin Picking Disorder (SPD) affects up to 10% of the general population, causing significant socioeconomic damage in 75% of affected individuals. It is characterized by the repeated habit of touching the skin itself, causing or aggravating wounds, with difficulty in controlling the habit. It is associated with anxiety disorders in about 20% of cases and with depressive disorder in about 50%. Patients with SPD have difficulties in regulating emotions, being more vulnerable to having their mental symptoms aggravated in face of stressful situations, such as the current coronavirus-19 pandemia. Among the treatments available to SPD, cognitive behavioral therapy is the only intervention superior to placebo, and there is still no medication approved by the FDA indicated specifically to SPD. The effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy was assessed in a randomized clinical trial with Brazilian patients with SPD, but its long-term benefit has not yet been evaluated. Additionally, telemedicine interventions can be effective and used during pandemia, but the effectiveness of internet delivered cognitive behavioral therapy for SPD is not clear yet.

Hypothesis: Serum Vitamin D (25(OH)D) is significantly lower in severe versus non-severe COVID-19 infections and that this is a function of ethnicity. There is an association between vitamin D status and various cytokines (pro-inflammatory molecules). The primary objective of this research is to provide a snap shot of vitamin D status in patients from the South-East London area by age, sex, ethnicity and BMI and demonstrate ethnic differences in vitamin D status as well as its associations with severe vs non-severe COVID-19 infections. The secondary objective is to determine if there is an association between vitamin D status and various cytokines (pro-inflammatory molecules) and severity of disease.

A) Comparing the % of change in each clearances of pro-, and anti-inflammatory mediators (cytokine, chemokines and complement) in the COVID-19 patients treated with CytoSorb as compared to the same patient population who do not receive blood purification treatment. B) Testing the Cytokinetic model by measuring cytokines in the blood stream and in the BAL to see if you can create a reverse gradient allowing a massive passage of leucocyte from the blood toward the infected lungs.
