With the influx of patients suspected of Covid-19 and the limited number of hospital beds, there is a need for sensitive triage to detect patients at risk of pulmonary complications and therefore requiring hospitalization, but also specific triage to safely discharge patients without risk factors or signs of clinical or ultrasound severity. The use of pulmonary ultrasound in addition to clinical assessment seems appropriate. Indeed, it allows early detection of signs of pneumopathy which, in the current context, most often correspond to Covid-19. These signs include B-lines, which indicate interstitial pulmonary oedema, and an anfractuous and thickened pleural line, or even centimetric parenchymal condensations with a low level of pleural effusion. Conversely, the presence of a medium to large pleural effusion is not very suggestive of the diagnosis of Covid-19. In addition, a lung ultrasound score has been developed and validated to assess the severity of acute respiratory distress and predict the occurrence of acute respiratory distress syndrome. It is based on the performance of a 12-point (6 per hemi-thorax) pulmonary ultrasound with the collection of the presence of B-lines, condensation or pleural effusion. In the hands of a trained operator, this examination takes only a few minutes. The aim of the study is to develop a score based on clinical and ultrasound evidence to allow early and safer referral than that based on clinical evidence alone. To do this, the study will retrospectively collect clinical and lung ultrasound data from departments that use this technique on a daily basis.

This study is a non-randomized, quasi-experimental, monocentric study comparing two prenatal monitoring modes in low-risk pregnancy: including at least one remote consultation (phone or teleconsultation) versus face-to-face adapted to confinement. The quality of care perceived by the pregnant women were evaluated according to monitoring modes set up during the COVID-19 pandemic confinement period. The women included planned to give birth at the regional academic Maternity of Nancy, France.

Coronavirus COVID-19 is an emerging virus also called Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Eighty percent of patients are poor or asymptomatic. However, there are major respiratory complications for some patients, requiring intensive care hospitalization and possibly leading to death in 5% of cases. One of the hypotheses put forward is that much of the pathophysiology is due to endothelial dysfunction associated with disseminated intravascular coagulation. The covid-19 pathology could induce coagulation impairment as observed during sepsis. An increase in D-dimer levels during covid-19 disease is itself associated with excess mortality. While D-dimers are highly sensitive, they are not specific for clotting activity. They may be increased in many other circumstances, particularly in inflammation. On the other hand, the infection stimulates the release of extracellular vesicles. These vesicles, of multiple cellular origin, are an actor of vascular homeostasis, and participate in the state of hyperactivation of coagulation. They have a major role in the prothrombotic state and the development of coagulopathy associated with sepsis. The aim of our monocentric prospective study would be to study early and more specific markers of hypercoagulability and markers of routine endothelial dysfunction, as soon as the patient is hospitalized, in order to predict the risk of hospitalization in intensive care.

Data from the IRCEP will be used to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on pregnancy and birth outcomes.

The objective of the study is to develop and validate a molecular diagnostic strategy (RT-ddPCR multiplex) of COVID-19 based on a saliva sample and alternative to the RT-qPCR method, in order to : 1. to compensate for the risk of a shortage of diagnostic kits, reagents and materials necessary for molecular diagnosis; 2. to increase the molecular diagnostic capacity of COVID-19 at the Rouen University Hospital; 3. and to have a method compatible with screening extended to populations at risk.

The coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) is a viral illness caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2), now deemed a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Some COVID-19 patients may develop coagulopathy which is associated with poor prognosis and high risk of thrombosis. Some patients develop severe thrombotic complications, such as pulmonary embolism, despite anti-thrombotic prophylaxis by low molecular weight heparin. The aim of this project is to evaluate modified thromboelastometry for identifying patients at high risk of thrombosis. The hypothesize is that hypofibrinolysis with increased plasma PAI-1, TAFI (thrombin-activatable fibrinolysis inhibitor ) levels in association with high thrombin generation may explain high incidence of thrombosis in this population. A simple laboratory assay, widely available in hospitals, such as thromboelastometry, might be of great clinical interest to detect Covid-19 patients with high risk of thrombosis. In order to make ROTEM more sensitive to hypofibrinolysis, exogenous t-PA will be added in the assay. The preliminary results showed that patients with Covid-19 have significant hypercoagulability detectable with ROTEM and Covid-19 patients with thrombosis have both hypercoagulability and hypofibrinolysis.

Covid-19 (English acronym meaning coronavirus disease 2019) is an emerging infectious disease caused by a strain of coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. The current pandemic has resulted in a significant number of admissions in the emergency room (ER) due to suspicion of COVID-19 infection. Use of lung ultrasound is standard practice to diagnose acute respiratory failure in ER. Recently, typical lung ultrasonographic characteristics of COVID-19 disease has been described. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of this tool could be of interest in order to allow an early, simple and reliable triage in patients with suspected COVID-19 infection admitted in ER. In addition, the visualization of early signs in specific areas could be a predictive marker of the severity of the disease. The objective of this project will be to study the association between the signs on lung ultrasound and the result of RT-PCR in patients with suspected COVID-19 infection in the ER.

Importance: During COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary to collect and analyze data concerning management of hospitals and wards in order to work out solutions for potential future crisis. Objective: The objective of the study was to investigate how surgical wards in Poland are managing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Design, Setting and Participants: An anonymous, online survey was designed and published on the official website of The Association of Polish Surgeons. Data was collected between March the 30th and April the 6th of 2020. After data analysis responders were divided into two groups: Group 1 (responders currently working in a "COVID-19-dedicated" hospital) and Group 2 (responders currently working in "non-COVID-19-dedicated" hospital). The study group included Polish surgeons and surgery residents working in surgical departments during pandemic.
