This study will evaluate the changes in sexual function, reproductive function and mental health of male patients discharged from the hospital with COVID-19, and the impact of SARS-CoV-2 on male reproductive health and mental health compared with healthy people during the same period. In addition, men's semen examination reports before and after the new coronavirus pneumonia event will be collected and compared to assess the impact of the event on the quality of men's semen. Aim. The emerging outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) continues to spread worldwide. Beside the prescription of some promising drugs as chloroquine, azithromycin, antivirals (lopinavir/ritonavir, darunavir/cobicistat) and immunomodulating agents (steroids, tocilizumab), in our patients with mild to moderate pneumonia due to SARS-CoV-2 we planned a randomize study to evaluate, respect the best available therapy (BAT), the use of autohemotherapy treatement with an oxygen/ozone (O3) gaseous mixture as adjuvant therapy. Design. Multicentric, randomized study. Participants. Clinical presentations are based upon clinical phenotypes identified by the Italian Society of Emergency and Urgency Medicine (SIMEU - Società Italiana di Medicina di Emergenza-Urgenza) and patients that meet criteria of phenotypes 2 to 4 were treat with best available therapy (BAT), and randomized to receive or not O3-autohemotherapy. Main outcome measures. The end-point were the time of respiratory improvement and earlier weaning from oxygen support: these parameters were included in the SIMEU clinical phenotypes classification.

Safety and Immunogenicity Study of an Inactivated SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine for Preventing Against COVID-19
This study is a randomized, double-blinded, and placebo-controlled phase Ia/IIa clinical trial of the Inactivated SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of the vaccine in healthy people aged 18~59 Years.

The study is designed as a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study of the safety and efficacy of tofacitinib in hospitalized adult participants with COVID-19 pneumonia who are receiving SoC therapy and who are not on HFNC, noninvasive ventilation, invasive mechanical ventilation, or ECMO on Day 1 at the time of randomization. Participants with laboratory confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection as determined by a positive PCR or other commercially available or public health assay, who have agreed to participate will be screened within 48 hours after hospitalization to determine eligibility. This should be completed within 48 hours prior to Day 1. Eligible participants will be randomized on Day 1 in a 1:1 ratio to the tofacitinib treatment group or the placebo treatment group and will receive treatment for up to 14 days, or until discharge from the hospital, whichever is earlier. If a participant requires intubation prior to the end of the 14-day treatment period, they will continue to receive tofacitinib or matching placebo until Day 14 (or until discharge from the hospital, if earlier than Day 14), if clinically appropriate. Participants will be assessed daily (up to Day 28) while hospitalized for clinical, safety, and laboratory parameters. Follow-up visits will occur on Day 28, 28 to 35 days after the ET/ED/EOT visit, and on Day 60. An independent, external DSMB will be convened to oversee the safety of participants and make recommendations regarding the conduct of the trial in accordance with the Charter.

As a result of COVID-19 and measures taken by the Canadian Government to reduce the transmission of the virus, in-person psychology services have been suspended. Psychology services are now being conducted via video conferencing. The purpose of the current project is to pilot-test a 6-week Self Compassion Treatment for Chronic Pain delivered virtually, in order to understand its utility in the current environment. The treatment is to be delivered through a secure professional ZOOM licence. Objective 1 of the project is to assess the feasibility and acceptability of attending the treatment group through virtual participation. Objective 2 is to assess the effectiveness of the group treatment in improving self-compassion, mental health, relationship with pain, and quality of life.

To date, nearly 2 million people, including at least 100,000 in France, have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2). This infection is very heterogeneous in nature, ranging from asymptomatic forms to acute respiratory distress syndrome patterns in 6.1% of cases, leading to an estimated overall mortality of 5.2%. Apart from age, few risk factors for a pejorative evolution have been identified: arterial hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular history, obesity and chronic respiratory pathology in particular. The median incubation period is 5 days and the median time between the appearance of the first symptoms and the onset of hypoxia requiring admission to intensive care is 7 to 12 days. The mechanisms involved in the occurrence of these secondary worsening patterns are unclear. One hypothesis is that it is related to an inappropriate inflammatory response rather than a direct cytopathic effect of the virus. The objective of this study is to measure the intensity of the T lymphocyte response in patients hospitalized for Cov2 SARS infection in order to determine whether the intensity of the response is associated with worsening of symptoms.

The experience of a loved one's stay in a COVID-19 intensive care unit (ICU), either intubated or on respiratory support, forces family caregivers (hereafter 'caregivers') to face core existential fears, such as uncertainty and death. It also poses a serious threat to basic human needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness, as family caregivers have no control over the illness, and limited prior competence in dealing with critical illness. COVID-19 likely aggravates this experience, as social distancing cuts caregivers off from visiting patients in the ICU, from using their usual social supportive network and the threat of infection extends to caregivers themselves, their children and family. Combined, these extreme circumstances put caregivers in emotional turmoil and in need of psychological support and assistance in managing difficult emotions. ICU caregivers are at risk of developing clinically relevant symptoms of anxiety or posttraumatic stress. During the patient's ICU stay, caregivers experience peri-traumatic distress, such as helplessness, grief, frustration and anger, that may predict later posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Symptoms of anxiety and PTSD may last for months to years after the patient's discharge. Further, caregivers of patients who die in an ICU may be at greater risk of prolonged grief disorder. Supportive interventions may reduce psychological late effects in ICU caregivers, but the primary focus of the majority of interventions has been on communication or surrogate decision making. The CO-CarES study aims to develop and test the feasibility of a tele-delivered psychological intervention to enable caregivers of ICU patients with COVID-19 to better endure the overwhelming uncertainty and emotional strain and reduce the risk of posttraumatic stress and prolonged grief. The study hypothesizes that providing psychological intervention during and after the patients' hospitalization, can decrease peri-traumatic distress during ICU hospitalization and decrease risk of post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression and perceived stress following discharge, as well as prolonged grief in bereavement. A secondary hypothesis is that changes in emotion regulation mediate effects of the intervention on long-term psychological outcomes.
