Italy was the first European country affected by a severe outbreak of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome - CoronaVirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) epidemic emerged from Wuhan region (China), with a high morbidity and mortality associated with the disease. In light of its pandemic spread and the very limited therapeutic options, COronaVIrus Disease 19 (COVID-19) is considered an unprecedented global health challenge. Therefore, the evaluation of new resources, designed in the first instance for other pathologies but potentially active against COVID-19, represents a priority in clinical research. This is an interventional, non-pharmacological, open, randomized, prospective, non-profit study on the adjuvant use of oxygen ozone therapy plus probiotic supplementation in the early control of disease progression in patients with COVID-19. Contextually, all patients are treated with the current standard of care on the basis of the interim guidelines of the Italian Society of Infectious and Tropical Diseases. The main purpose of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an ozone therapy-based intervention (accompanied by supplementation with probiotics) in containing the progression of COVID-19 and in preventing the need for hospitalization in intensive care units.

This expanded access program will provide access to COVID-19 convalescent plasma 150 or more individuals with moderate to severe or life-threatening manifestations of COVID-19, or documented to be at high risk of developing such manifestations at participating hospitals in Colorado.COVID-19 convalescent plasma is the liquid part of blood that is collected from patients who have recovered from COVID-19. Convalescent plasma collected from individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 contains antibodies to SARS-CoV-2. Preliminary evidence and data collected during other respiratory virus outbreaks (including the 2003 SARS-CoV-1 epidemic, the 2009-2010 H1N1 influenza virus pandemic, and the 2012 MERS-CoV epidemic) suggest that the antibodies in convalescent plasma may be effective in fighting the infection.

Many hospitals as well as local or state governments have been working on policies to determine how to make these decisions. This study seeks to learn about how COVID-19 has affected the way patients and healthcare providers care for themselves and about their thoughts and concerns about policies that may "ration" life-support resources.

Since December 2019, a new agent, the coronavirus SARS-Cov-2, has spread from China to the rest of the world causing an international epidemic of respiratory diseases called COVID-19. Oise was one of the first clusters in France, with more than 4,000 confirmed cases. A significant proportion (80%) of patients with COVID-19 are ambulatory. However, few data are available for this particular population in France. Thus, few clear recommendations are available. We propose to conduct a large cohort of observation of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients on an ambulatory basis in the Oise region. This observatory will make it possible to describe the epidemiological characteristics and initial management of COVID-19 patients and to identify early severity factors.
