Around the world, researchers are working extremely hard to develop new treatments and interventions for COVID-19 with new clinical trials opening nearly every day. This directory provides you with information, including enrollment detail, about these trials. In some cases, researchers are able to offer expanded access (sometimes called compassionate use) to an investigational drug when a patient cannot participate in a clinical trial.
The information provided here is drawn from ClinicalTrials.gov. If you do not find a satisfactory expanded access program here, please search in our COVID Company Directory. Some companies consider expanded access requests for single patients, even if they do not show an active expanded access listing in this database. Please contact the company directly to explore the possibility of expanded access.
Emergency INDs
To learn how to apply for expanded access, please visit our Guides designed to walk healthcare providers, patients and/or caregivers through the process of applying for expanded access. Please note that given the situation with COVID-19 and the need to move as fast as possible, many physicians are requesting expanded access for emergency use. In these cases, FDA will authorize treatment by telephone and treatment can start immediately. For more details, consult FDA guidance. Emergency IND is the common route that patients are receiving convalescent plasma.
Search Tips
To search this directory, simply type a drug name, condition, company name, location, or other term of your choice into the search bar and click SEARCH. For broadest results, type the terms without quotation marks; to narrow your search to an exact match, put your terms in quotation marks (e.g., “acute respiratory distress syndrome” or “ARDS”). You may opt to further streamline your search by using the Status of the study and Intervention Type options. Simply click one or more of those boxes to refine your search.

The aim of the study is to identify the knowledge that CCSPT nurses have in relation to care aimed at addressing anxiety, fear or loneliness and the use they have made of it in the recent crisis. The design of the research/action will also enable the training of the participating professionals to improve nursing care in these areas in the future

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in our country, individuals over 65 are prohibited from leaving their homes by T.C. The Ministry of Internal Affairs on March 21, 2020. While social isolation provides protection from COVID-19, it also brings some side effects that pose health risks. Studies investigating the relationship between social isolation and health behavior report that individuals with smaller social networks report less healthy diets, excessive alcohol consumption, and less physical activity. The effects of social isolation are related to physical inactivity, smoking. Physical activity is any body movement produced by the contraction of skeletal muscles that increases energy consumption. 150 minutes of moderate PA, 75 minutes of severe PA per week, or combined moderate and severe intensity PA plus twice a week strength training is recommended for elderly. The prevalence of physical inactivity increases significantly with increasing age. At the global level, approximately 45% of people over the age of 60 do not meet the recommended level of PA. The decrease in physical performance is associated with the risk of falling, sarcopenia, fragility, decreased quality of life, emotionalization, comorbidity, early death, and increased health care costs. The purpose of this study; to evaluate the physical activity level, functional capacity and quality of life of individuals over the age of 65 who socially isolated due to the precautions COVID-19 pandemic, and to investigate the effectiveness of video based home exercise program.

The main objective of this study is to analyse the effectiveness of the VIRTUAL FIBROWALK multicomponent treatment program as coadjuvant of treatment-as-usual (TAU) compared to TAU alone. In this Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT), in addition to evaluating the clinical effects of VIRTUAL FIBROWALK treatment in the short- and longterm.

The first COVID-19 case was identified on March 7, 2020. Since then, 4127 deaths of the total 3,40583 confirmed cases are reported in Bangladesh of August 26, 2020. this new virus there has been an increase in the number of pneumonia, which are characterized by fever, sore throat ,asthenia, dry cough, lymphopenia, prolonged prothrombin time, elevated lactic dehydrogenase and CRP and a tomographic imaging indicative of interstitial pneumonia (ground glass and patchy shadows). Severe disease occurs in 15% of the cases with COVID-19 and may progress to critical disease in only 5% of the cases with a high risk of mortality. Critical disease may present as acute respiratory failure secondary to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome mainstay of treatment is supportive. Recent studies have shown the efficacy of vitamin C and Zinc administration in patients hospitalized for sepsis in the setting of intensive wards in terms of mortality reduction. The use of vitamin C arises from the experimental evidence of its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Zinc is known to modulate antiviral and antibacterial immunity and regulate inflammatory response. Zn may possess protective effect as preventive and adjuvant therapy of COVID-19 through reducing inflammation, improvement of mucociliary clearance, prevention of ventilator induced lung injury, modulation of antiviral and antibacterial immunity. Severity assessment tools for identifying patients at risk of deterioration due to sepsis. The quick Sequential (Sepsis-related) Organ Failure Assessment tool is the recommended tool to screen patients with suspected infection outside the intensive care unit (one point for each of altered mentation, respiratory rate ≥22 and systolic blood pressure ≤100 mmHg, with a score ≥2 suggesting high risk for deterioration).More generic tools designed to predict deterioration regardless of etiology have also been designed, such as the National Early Warning Score , widely used in the English National Health Service, Access alertness, RR, blood pressure , heart rate, oxygen saturation and temperature with increasing values for more abnormal measurements. A score of ≥3 in any category or score ≥5 overall triggers urgent patient review.D isease specific tools, such as CURB65, are recommended by respiratory societies worldwide. Each of altered mentation, blood urea >7.0, RR ≥30, SBP

The objective of this project is to investigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on frontline healthcare workers, and determine if a virtual music therapy can improve mood and emotional state in this population. For this pilot study, EEG will also be used to assess measures of functional connectivity, attention, and mood in adult participants. Participants will also be evaluated for measures of emotion using a standardized test battery (NIH toolbox). This pilot study will show how frontline healthcare workers have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and provide evidence as to the effectiveness of Music Therapy to support mental health in this essential population.

This proposal seeks to enhance acceptability and uptake of COVID-19 testing and vaccination to engage African American and Latinx public housing residents in South Los Angeles. Given the multiple disparities experienced by public housing residents, the investigators will utilize a theoretically-based, multidisciplinary and culturally tailored intervention to reduce barriers and implement innovate strategies to engage this population in the uptake of COVID-19 testing and vaccination.

Our aim is to conduct a pilot single-blind randomized controlled trial to examine the preliminary efficacy of a 14 day app-based pulmonary and mobility focused rehabilitation program (intervention arm) versus a self-guided exercise program (active control arm) on pulmonary and functional outcomes in 100 patients tested for COVID-19 infection and isolated at home.
