Around the world, researchers are working extremely hard to develop new treatments and interventions for COVID-19 with new clinical trials opening nearly every day. This directory provides you with information, including enrollment detail, about these trials. In some cases, researchers are able to offer expanded access (sometimes called compassionate use) to an investigational drug when a patient cannot participate in a clinical trial.
The information provided here is drawn from ClinicalTrials.gov. If you do not find a satisfactory expanded access program here, please search in our COVID Company Directory. Some companies consider expanded access requests for single patients, even if they do not show an active expanded access listing in this database. Please contact the company directly to explore the possibility of expanded access.
Emergency INDs
To learn how to apply for expanded access, please visit our Guides designed to walk healthcare providers, patients and/or caregivers through the process of applying for expanded access. Please note that given the situation with COVID-19 and the need to move as fast as possible, many physicians are requesting expanded access for emergency use. In these cases, FDA will authorize treatment by telephone and treatment can start immediately. For more details, consult FDA guidance. Emergency IND is the common route that patients are receiving convalescent plasma.
Search Tips
To search this directory, simply type a drug name, condition, company name, location, or other term of your choice into the search bar and click SEARCH. For broadest results, type the terms without quotation marks; to narrow your search to an exact match, put your terms in quotation marks (e.g., “acute respiratory distress syndrome” or “ARDS”). You may opt to further streamline your search by using the Status of the study and Intervention Type options. Simply click one or more of those boxes to refine your search.

This study is designed to evaluate three dose levels of Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Immunoglobulin Intravenous (Human) (COVID-HIGIV) for safety and pharmacokinetics (PK) in healthy adults. Twenty-eight healthy adult subjects will be enrolled into the study to receive a single dose of COVID-HIGIV or placebo with 84 days of safety and PK follow-up post-administration.

COLUMBIA CARDS is a pilot study to understand how COVID-19 affects the heart. It is known that COVID-19 can affect the heart in different ways. COLUMBIA CARDS is studying why some COVID-19 survivors develop clinical conditions such as heart inflammation, fluid buildup, blood clots, and other cardiac problems during or after their COVID-19 illness, and why other ones do not. In this study, we will use cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on the heart.

In the current study, the investigators will revise our existing 10-session group RRT treatment manual to specifically address the challenges in building social support and enhancing both momentary and sustained reward during the COVID-19 pandemic (Preliminary Aim 1). In months 2-18, the investigators will conduct a small pilot RCT that will randomize individuals to receive either 10-sessions of RRT (n=30) or supportive therapy (n=30), both delivered as group-treatments via videoconferencing software. The specific aims of the current study are to confirm the feasibility and acceptability of RRT for EDs (Primary Aim 1), evaluate the ability of RRT to engage critical targets including reward to day-to-day life activities, reward to palatable foods, social isolation, and loneliness (Primary Aim 2), and provide preliminary estimates of efficacy in reducing ED symptoms at both post-treatment and a 3-month follow-up (Primary Aim 3). the investigators will also evaluate the impact of RRT on secondary outcome variables including depression, substance use, and quality of life (Secondary Aim 1).

This is a randomized, double-blinded, placebo controlled phase III clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy, safety and immunogenicity of SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine, Inactivated (Vero Cell) in adults aged 18 years and above after 2-dose schedule.

The outbreak of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 caused a health emergency of international proportions when it was declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) in January 2020. Since then, the virus has spread internationally and the WHO has classified the outbreak as a pandemic. In the context of the increasing reporting of this pandemic and the increasing governmental measures to limit or slow down the spread of SARS-CoV-2 by all means, there is so far little scientific evidence for the effects of a healthy lifestyle on the disease. The aim of this study is to compare the potential of different, possibly protective lifestyles using the example of the COVID-19 pandemic. We will conduct an online survey with 3.000 participants using mobile website technology.

The objective of the COVID-19 Vaccines International Pregnancy Exposure Registry (C-VIPER) is to evaluate obstetric, neonatal, and infant outcomes among women vaccinated during pregnancy with a COVID-19 vaccine. Specifically, the C-VIPER will estimate the risk of obstetric outcomes (spontaneous abortion, antenatal bleeding, gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension, intrauterine growth restriction, postpartum hemorrhage, fetal distress, uterine rupture, placenta previa, chorioamnionitis, Caesarean delivery, COVID-19), neonatal outcomes (major congenital malformations, low birth weight, neonatal death, neonatal encephalopathy, neonatal infections, neonatal acute kidney injury, preterm birth, respiratory distress in the newborn, small for gestational age, stillbirth, COVID-19), and infant outcomes (developmental milestones [motor, cognitive, language, social-emotional, and mental health skills], height, weight, failure to thrive, medical conditions during the first 12 months of life, COVID-19) among pregnant women exposed to single (homologous) or mixed (heterologous) COVID-19 vaccine brand series from 30 days prior to the first day of the last menstrual period to end of pregnancy and their offspring relative to a matched reference group who received no COVID-19 vaccines during pregnancy.

Electronic medical record review of de-identified patients who tested positive for COVID-19 (using a PCR test) at Methodist Dallas Medical Center (MDMC) from June 2020 until the date of IRB approval. Data will be collected on de-identified patients that test positive for COVID-19 (using a PCR test) at MDMC from the date of IRB approval until December 2022. Disclaimer: Any cost associated with the procedures stated herein will be billed directly to you or to your insurance (as applicable)

The purpose of this study is to collect information that will help the reasearchers learn more about COVID-19 infections in cancer patients, and to find out about the effects of these infections on cancer treatment and outcomes. The research study involves asking people to complete a series of online questionnaires that include questions about their medical history, lifestyle, and risk factors related to the COVID-19 infection. The study will enroll both MSK patients and their household family members.

COVID-19 is a novel disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 that primarily affects the lungs but also various other organs of the body already in early stages of the disease. Due to the multiple organ involvements in the acute phase, it is conceivable that - in a significant proportion of patients - longterm sequels in various organ systems might occur, thereby impacting the individual's health status and quality of life; and posing a relevant burden to the resources of the health care system Assessment of SARS-CoV-2-longterm morbidity and sequels on the population level: In order to identify and treat these sequels in a timely fashion and to get a sense of the prevalence of such SARS-CoV-2 sequels on the population level, it is important to collect follow-up data and to comprehensively re-examine a population-representative sample of SARS-CoV-2 infected individuals. Within the COVIDOM study we will conduct deep clinical and biochemical phenotyping in population-representative samples in Germany. This will allow novel insights into disease pathogenesis and chronicity of virus infections.

This is randomized trial where households will be randomized to identify the optimal SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) testing modality in a population-representative sample of households in Baltimore City, Maryland. 1,386 households in Baltimore City will be randomized 1:1:1 to one of three testing modalities: 1) fixed-site standard of care testing; 2) community-based mobile van testing; or 3) self-collected home, based testing.
