Around the world, researchers are working extremely hard to develop new treatments and interventions for COVID-19 with new clinical trials opening nearly every day. This directory provides you with information, including enrollment detail, about these trials. In some cases, researchers are able to offer expanded access (sometimes called compassionate use) to an investigational drug when a patient cannot participate in a clinical trial.
The information provided here is drawn from ClinicalTrials.gov. If you do not find a satisfactory expanded access program here, please search in our COVID Company Directory. Some companies consider expanded access requests for single patients, even if they do not show an active expanded access listing in this database. Please contact the company directly to explore the possibility of expanded access.
Emergency INDs
To learn how to apply for expanded access, please visit our Guides designed to walk healthcare providers, patients and/or caregivers through the process of applying for expanded access. Please note that given the situation with COVID-19 and the need to move as fast as possible, many physicians are requesting expanded access for emergency use. In these cases, FDA will authorize treatment by telephone and treatment can start immediately. For more details, consult FDA guidance. Emergency IND is the common route that patients are receiving convalescent plasma.
Search Tips
To search this directory, simply type a drug name, condition, company name, location, or other term of your choice into the search bar and click SEARCH. For broadest results, type the terms without quotation marks; to narrow your search to an exact match, put your terms in quotation marks (e.g., “acute respiratory distress syndrome” or “ARDS”). You may opt to further streamline your search by using the Status of the study and Intervention Type options. Simply click one or more of those boxes to refine your search.

While COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) is an important emergent issue for all in the country, there is a significant number of people in the population who are especially vulnerable to the potential impact that the novel coronavirus epidemic may have on their health. The overall purpose of the study is to investigate: (1) the dynamics of COVID-19 infection among people living with HIV and health care workers providing HIV services; (2) the provision of HIV and HIV/TB care and treatment services at health facilities, within the scope of COVID-19 or in the context of COVID-19 and; (3) the perceptions of COVID-19 and access to care among people living with HIV and health care workers providing HIV services.

Through its anti-inflammatory role, molecular hydrogen could have a beneficial effect in preventing the runaway inflammatory reactions that lead to complications of Covid-19. This hypothesis is supported by numerous preclinical and theoretical arguments, as well as by some Chinese clinical studies (the Chinese guidelines for the management of Covid-19 recommend the inhalation of hydrogen), a recommendation whose interest has just been confirmed by a publication describing the very positive results of a clinical study in China. Through its anti-inflammatory role, molecular hydrogen could have a beneficial effect in preventing the runaway inflammatory reactions that lead to complications of Covid-19. The ingestion of water saturated with molecular hydrogen has been the subject of several clinical studies in other indications than Covid-19, and no side effects of this ingestion have been reported. A recent publication recommends initiating clinical trials using a hydrogen fortified beverage.

The overall purpose of this project is to better understand the incidence, risk factors, etiology, clinical manifestations and outcome of tCOVID19 in solid organ transplant recipients. The results obtained will allow us to gain insight on the need of antiviral treatment, on the strategy for complications surveillance, on how to adjust the immunosuppressant therapy and on the level of care in which each patient should be treated. In order to attain the objectives previously described we will develop a multicenter prospective study of consecutive cases of COVID-19 among solid organ transplant recipients.

This is a 2-Stage, Phase III, randomized, active-controlled, observer-blind, parallel-group, multi-center study to compare the immunogenicity and safety of SK SARS-CoV-2 recombinant nanoparticle vaccine adjuvanted with AS03 (GBP510) to ChAdOx1-S in adults aged 18 years and older.

The purpose of this trial is to understand whether: 1. Metformin vs fluvoxamine vs ivermectin vs metformin+fluvoxamine vs metformin+ivermectin is superior to placebo in non-hospitalized adults with SARS-CoV-2 disease for preventing Covid-19 disease progression. 2. To understand if the active treatment arms are superior to placebo in improving viral load, serologic markers associated with Covid-19, and gut microbiome in non-hospitalized adults with SARS-CoV-2 infection. 3. To understand if any of the active treatment arms prevent long-covid syndrome, PASC (post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection).

The non-essential and non-urgent follow-up consultations of patients living with HIV were postponed or transformed into "teleconsultation" or exchanges of e-mails between practitioners and patients during COVID-19 epidemic. This change in care can have an impact on follow-up and access to treatment for PVVIH.
