This second repeat trial has been designed to further confirm the results from the the first recruitment by comparing which information extraction frameworks would be more sensitive to blood donors in emergency situations.

The main objective of the study will be to evaluate the effectiveness of an adjuvant lifestyle-based intervention for treatment-resistant patients with major depressive disorder. Patients will be allocated to one of these three groups: 1)Treatment prescribed by their mental health team plus written lifestyle change suggestions 2)Treatment prescribed by their mental health team plus written lifestyle change suggestions plus 8-week Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) program 3) Treatment prescribed by their mental health team plus written lifestyle change suggestions plus 8-week lifestyle change promotion program. We will collect patient data using the questionnaires administered at baseline, immediately after the intervention, and at six and 12-month follow-up. The primary outcome will be depression severity and secondary outcomes will include health-related quality of life.

COVID-19 is a rapidly spreading and very contagious disease caused by a novel coronavirus that can lead to respiratory insufficiency. In many patients, the chest radiograph at first presentation be normal, and early low-dose CT-scan is advocated to diagnose viral pneumonia. Lung ultrasound (LUS) has similar diagnostic properties as CT for diagnosing pneumonia. However, it has the advantage that it can be performed at point-of-care, minimizing the need to transfer the patient, reducing the number of health care personnel and equipment that come in contact with the patient and thus potentially decrease the risk of spreading the infection. This study has the objective to examine the accuracy of lung ultrasound in patients with proven COVID-19 pneumonia.

As part of the Coronavirus Infectious Disease 2019 (COVID19) pandemic, the hospital care system is facing a major strain. Patients with SARS-Cov2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 ) infection can worsen very quickly, possibly presenting, within hours, severe respiratory failure requiring urgent specialized care. Therefore, it is essential to develop emergency assessment tools to assess relevant criteria to decide which patients must be kept under hospital monitoring and which patients can be treated on outpatient care. The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of STST in the decision to hospitalize patients consulting emergency department for a SARS-Cov2 infection. The investigators wish to show that the addition of this test to the usual hospitalization criteria reduces the proportion of patients hospitalized 48 hours after their first visit to the emergency department.

The Respiratory infection COVID-19, due to a new coronavirus, SARS-CoV2, appeared in December 2019 in several people who attended the wildlife market in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. While COVID-19 has spread to nearly 200 countries and caused two millions infections, Lao PDR detected its first confirmed case very recently, on March 20, three months after the start of the outbreak in China. As of April 12th, 2020, Lao PDR has only recorded 18 confirmed cases, a very low number compared to other countries around the world. However, several key factors suggest that Lao PDR could be much more affected by COVID-19 because of the following reasons: (i) The multiple and massive trans-border movements between Lao PDR and China. (ii) The similar biogeographical and socio-ecological characteristics with South-Western China. (iii) The detection of a high diversity of Betacoronavirus sequences in several species of bats in Lao PDR. (iv) The numerous markets selling high volumes of local wildlife including bats and pangolins. LACOVISS project aim at investigating, using a ONE-HEALTH approach, this unexpected epidemiological pattern of SARS-CoV-2 in Lao PDR by bringing together an interdisciplinary team of experts in the field from IRD, the University of Caen, the Center of Infectiology Lao-Christophe Mérieux (CILM) and the National animal Health Laboratory (NAHL) in Vientiane. The study will focus on a community-based cohort of 1092 households, including 5400 study participants, followed-up between March 2015 and February 2019 for influenza-like illness investigation and causative agents detection (LACORIS project), located in the Vientiane metropolitan area. The COVID-19 progression in Lao PDR, and track SARS-CoV-2, will be followed retrospectively and prospectively, in all potential actors in SARS-CoV-2 circulation, including humans, domestic animals, and wildlife. The LACOVISS project will undoubtedly bring new insight in SARS-Cov-2 and SARS-CoV-like circulation in Lao PDR as well as valuable information on the natural history of COVID-19, and on the modalities of the spillover into humans, which are still largely unknown.
